District Councillor’s Meet-the-Public Scheme

Introduced in January 1983, the Meet-the-Public Scheme (the Scheme) of the Kowloon City District Council (KCDC) aims to enable local residents to share their views and lodge complaints with District Councillors, and provide an additional channel for the District Councillors to reach out to residents to learn more about the problems and needs of the district with a view to addressing the problems and improving living standards.

To enhance the flexibility of the Scheme, with effect from January 2008, the KCDC will arrange for the public to visit the District Councillor's Office directly for a meeting through referral, in place of the regular meetings conducted earlier. Those who would like to meet the District Councillors can call the Public Enquiry Service Centre of the Kowloon City District Office (KCDO) for enquiry or download the Appointment Form from the KCDC website and fax the completed form to the KCDC Secretariat (Fax no. 2621 5943). The Secretariat will, according to the electoral constituencies to which they belong or their preferences, arrange with the District Councillors concerned for the time and place of a meeting.
