| (a) | To promote and publicize at district level the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, to encourage schools, local organizations and residents to share the joy of the games and to boost the Olympic atmosphere in the community and its active participation within the district. |

To organize activities for the promotion and publicity of Olympic
Games within the district and to recommend funding applications
initiated by non-government organizations for the promotion and publicity of the Olympic Games. |
