Terms of Reference

(A) To encourage people living or working in the district to participate in and give support to community building activities organized by the Government and other voluntary organizations with a view to cultivating the community spirit and a sense of belonging for them.

(B) To promote and co-ordinate activities in relation to civic education, moral education and community services, etc in the district.

(C) To advise on the adequacy of community facilities and community services in the district.

(D) To advise on matters related to the improvement of community facilities as well as the management of community services in the district.

(E) To advise on general policies that affect community services in the district.

(F) To give concern to the social problems arising from the development of urban areas.
