Introduction to District Facilities Management Committee (DFMC)

Terms of Reference

(A)  To steer and monitor the management, improvement and renovation of district facilities under the
      purview of Eastern District Council, including community halls, libraries, leisure grounds, sports venue 
      and swimming pools.

(B)  To initiate or endorse the proposal on implementing programmes and activities to be undertaken at the above district facilities.

(C)   Based on the District Minor Works funds :

 (i)                  to inititate the project programme and collect views and requests of local personalities;
 (ii)         to endorse the ambits and scale of the project progamme and set the priority of each project
             programme;
 (iii)        to monitor the progress of the project through the progress reports submitted by the 
             government and the project agent.

(D)  To advice matters relating to government and other recreational and cultural facilities in the district.
