Terms of Reference

(A) To advise on the environment of the public amenities, public health and food hygiene in the district and to make recommendations for improvements.

(B) To give concern to and to advise on the effectiveness of the various pollution control measures, the cityscape as well as other issues relating to the environment and hygiene in the district.

(C) To advise on the improvement and clearance of environmental blackspots in the district.

(D) To oversee the environment improvement projects carried on by the Government in the district.

(E) To carry out Minor Environment Improvement Projects in the district on EDC Funds.

(F) To promote and co-ordinate environmental protection as well as clean and green up the community campaigns with a view to enhancing the environmental protection awareness of the people living or working in the district.
