| (a) | To advise the government and related organizations on matters concerning land use and on the related development of plans as well as major public works implemented by the government and public utilities. |
| (b) | To provide comment on any intended temporary use of vacant government land in the district. |
| (c) | To give due concern to the progress and management of major Public Works implemented by the government and / or public utilities in the district, so as to minimize any inconvenience caused by the works to the residents. |
| (d) | To advise on the planning, construction, management and redevelopment of public housing in the district. |
| (e) | To advise on the management, maintenance and improvement of facilities of private housing (including commercial buildings and private streets) in the district. |
