District Facilities Management Committee
- To provide advice and suggestions on supply and demand, management and use of cultural, recreational, sports and community facilities in the district.
- To supervise and monitor the management of some district facilities (i.e. district libraries, sitting-out areas, sports venues, swimming pools and community halls), including considering proposals on the operation, management and maintenance of the facilities and the improvement and enhancement measures, so as to better meet the demand and expectation of the locals.
- To advise and set priorities on the use of the District Council’s District Minor Works funds to carry out improvement and building works in the district facilities (i.e. district libraries, sitting-out areas, sports venues, swimming pools and community halls), and to monitor progress of these projects; and to vet funding applications within its delegated authority.
- To submit work report to the District Council regularly for members’ scrutiny and reference.
- To set up working group where necessary to follow up activities and projects proposed by the Committee.
