Welcome Message

Welcome to the homepage of the Kowloon City District Council (KCDC).
Situated in the heart of the Kowloon Peninsula, Kowloon City District, comprising five areas, namely Hung Hom, To Kwa Wan, Ho Man Tin, Lung Tong and Kai Tak, is a distinctive and vibrant community boasting a long and rich history while featuring a variety of new major developments. Kowloon City District has seen many momentous changes in recent years such as the transformation of Kai Tak Area, the construction of Kai Tak Sports Park and the Central Kowloon Route, the full commissioning of the MTR Tuen Ma Line as well as the completion and launch of the redevelopment projects in several old localities. Embracing the changes, Kowloon City District has evolved into a more liveable community, ensuring a better quality of life for local residents.
Elected as the Chairman of the KCDC, I am deeply honoured to have the support and trust of my fellow District Council members. I will do my utmost to lead the KCDC to tackle livelihood issues in the district in a rational and practical manner by conveying residents’ views on various livelihood problems to the Government and proposing effective solutions as well as advising the Government on the enhancement of district facilities and environment and sponsoring district organisations in conducting community building activities, with a view to actively promoting the
well-being of the many residents. In addition, I will lead the KCDC to unite people from different local communities in a bid to collaborate with government departments. Striving together, we can hopefully turn Kowloon City District into the model of a socially integrated community.
