The Chief Executive announced in Policy Address 2015 that an additional annual funding will be provided to community involvement programmes to further strengthen the support to District Councils in promoting arts and cultural activities in the districts. In this regard, the Finance and Administration Committee (FAC) of the Sai Kung District Council (SKDC) set up the Working Group on Arts and Cultural Activities to coordinate and implement a series of arts and cultural activities in the district.
“2015/2016 Sai Kung District Music Festival” (the Music Festival) will be organized by the Sai Kung District Council from September 2015 to March 2016.
Objectives ： To induce and nurture residents’ interests in traditional and modern music through the Music Festival.
Joint Presenter ： Sai Kung Culture Centre, Sai Kung Culture & Recreational Advancement Association, Sai Kung District Office, Sai Kung District Community Centre, Hong Kong Association of Youth Development - Sai Kung Branch, Sai Kung Kai Fong Committee, Tseung Kwan O Cultural & Recreational Centre, Tseung Kwan O Photography Association, Leisure and Cultural Services Department (in no particular order).
