Recruitment and Selection of Sai Kung District Football Team

The Community Building and Social Innovation Committee (“CBSIC”) of Sai Kung District Council (“SKDC”) discussed at its fourth meeting on 20 August 2020 the district football team (“district team”) under the District Football Funding Scheme of the Home Affairs Bureau and would like to select the district team for the next football season through recruitment.  The selected football team will participate in the football matches organised by the Hong Kong Football Association in the capacity as the district team of the Sai Kung district.  In addition, the district team will assist in promoting football development in the district to strengthen cohesion in the community.
 
CBSIC will select a suitable football team as the district team based on the following criteria:
 

  • The best score achieved by the applicant football team in the football seasons from 2016/17 to 2019/20
  • Aspiration of the football team in promoting football in the district
  • Direction and ability of the football team in training youth teams
  • How the football team can promote community building through activities
  • How the football team can build up residents’ sense of belonging to the district

 
Football teams of the affiliate members of the Hong Kong Football Association interested in becoming the district team that represents Sai Kung district should fill in and return the application form by email to skdcadm@skdc.had.gov.hk at or before 6:00 p.m. on 6 November 2020 (Friday).  The Working Group on Culture, History and Sports under CBSIC will examine all application forms and then contact the suitable applicants for selection.  For further enquiries, please feel free to call 3740 5331 or send an email to the SKDC Secretariat.
