Meet the Public Scheme

Purposes as follows:

1. to provide more opportunities for District Council (‘DC’) members to get in touch with local residents or people working in the district;
2. to gain thorough understanding of the opinions and problems faced by citizens through directly getting in touch with the local residents, and to handle or refer their complaints or requests for assistance; and
3. to enhance public awareness and solicit public support for Government policies.

“Meet the Public Scheme” will start from 15 January 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on every Monday at the District Council office [Address: Conference Room, 4/F, Sha Tin Government Offices, 1 Sheung Wo Che Road, Sha Tin; Conference Room, Lek Yuen Community Hall, Lek Yuen Estate, Sha Tin; Conference Room, Hin Keng Neighbourhood Community Centre, No. 5 Hin Wo Lane, Tai Wai, Sha Tin; or Conference Room, Lee On Community Hall, Ma On Shan Lee On Community Services Complex, No. 23 Sha On Street, Ma On Shan].  DC members will be on duty in pairs.  The duty roster for 2025 is as follows:
