Document on the Methods for Selecting the Chief Executive and for
Forming the Legislative Council in 2012
and supports the HKSAR government to, with the greatest sincerity,
broaden significantly the scope of democracy and introduce new
democratic elements into the methods for selecting the Chief Executive
and for forming the Legislative Council through wider participation of
elected district council members in the Election Committee and the Legco
election in compliance with the Basic Law and the Decision of
the Standing Committee of the National People Congress on issues
relating to universal suffrage in Hong Kong, so as to advance Hong
Kong
democratic development towards the aim of universal suffrage in a
gradual manner, instead of making no progress once again.?/a>* |
